Welcome to Amadeus ex Machina, a personal collection of texts about God and the world. Speaking of God, the name of this little project is based on the term ‘Deus ex Machina’, which, according to Wikipedia, ‘is a plot device whereby a seemingly unsolvable problem in a story is suddenly or abruptly resolved by an unexpected and unlikely occurrence. Its function is generally to resolve an otherwise irresolvable plot situation, to surprise the audience, to bring the tale to a happy ending or act as a comedic device.’ So far so good.
Keyword surprise. This blog could deal with all topics related to human coexistence that happen to come to my curious beautiful dark twisted mind and will always carry a personal touch. With my hopefully entertaining texts, I want to do justice to one of my nicknames.
‘Random Amy’ was coined by good friends – half admiringly, half mockingly – to emphasise my wide and random range of interests and their sometimes awkward integration into conversations.
Suggestions, feedback, biting criticism, and effusive praise are always welcome. And now, happy reading! – Amadeus
